Another great book to read that describes Ted Kennedy's cocaine addiction is Senatorial Privilege. The book came out about 25 years ago. Great book, about 400 pages and about that time the Kennedy's were doing everything in their power to keep the book from being published.
I have a book I haven't had time to read entitled, It didn't start with Watergate.
My father gave it to me about one year before he died.
been too busy to sit down and read though
"The title of this story assumes that any member of the Kennedy mob has a conscience and is,therefore, capable of experiencing shame."
Not to psychobabble, but having a conscience would enable one to experience guilt (an inner sense of right or wrong), not shame. Western JC civ. is formulated upon this, while Islamic culture are often "shame-cultures" where right or wrong is delivered via the surrounding peer group or authority.
In a way, the Kennedy clan (and their leftist ilk) are even lower on the civilization evolutionary scale that the stoning, throat-cutters: They are without guilt or shame. Only in America!
Figures.
Although the American Psychiatric Association and the Oxford Unabridged Dictionary might disagree with me,I'm inclined to see the words "shame","embarrassment" and "guilt" as being roughly synonymous.
But you and I see eye to eye regarding the Kennedys.
