I had forgotten that episode.
The Virginia "oh so smart, I'm staying at home" people, the conservative useful idiots who turned their backs on George Allen, can now watch this scumbag embarrass them and their state for the next six years. It's just too bad the small number of Virginians who get it have to suffer for the others.
If I was to venture a guess, I would say that Webb is following the John Edwards model. Edwards' positives never recovered from his own election and later failed to carry his own state when running with JFK.
Larry Flynt's Siamese twin is not making a good impression on the voters.
IMHO, in a few years, even his fellow Senate Democrats won't be able to stand him, either.
Maybe when he gets all sad, he can go down to Richmond and point guns at the Black folk. That should perk him right back up again. ;-)
Sheets Byrd does indeed have a worthy successor to pass his mantle to.
