In a different thread today, I noted (as I have in the past, and as many, many other people have noted) that the nation's dependence on foreign oil imports makes our economy very vulnerable to perturbation of both imports and oil-related energy production. Katrina amply illustrated the effects of a short-term endangerment.
Saying that Bush should advocate more energy conservation measures (other than reducing usage of gasoline) in the interests of reducing our economic vulnerability to oil supply and production shocks hardly seems like a crackpot point. (It's been made many other times before by far more intelligent and perceptive people than me.)
No need to discuss other threads. I'm talking about this one. and I'm not here to debate global warming theory at the moment. My point is simply that it isn't necessary for you to post every single junk science article that you come across. Sometimes, it's counterproductive.
Worth repeating for those who missed it. I don't know about you, but I'm getting sick of misleading headlines.
Count me confused. I was commenting on an article you posted, and you said that my comment was "crackpot". I defended it.
Long, but good read!
Yes so am I.
LOL !
