Like someone said upthread, the South Park Jesus is a moral, wise, harmless (and feckless) character. My only objection is minor: they portray Him as effeminate and helpless. That show is way more ironically illustrative at a second glance, and I think Matt and Trey know this.

But Jesus is one of the SuperFriends, so that makes it all cool, dude.

You should have seen the episode where he rescued Santa Claus from the Iraqis.

Jeff, a total aside here, but there are at least five people how have responded to me about how poorly the South Park guys portrayed Christ and there were all total cool about it and very unaffected. It really speaks to the maturity of the people on FR that there are educated Christians who are serious but don't take themselves seriously. And that is probably why we are happier on average than Leftists.

I've worked with so many religious people of all faiths in past careers and its the people who really were comfortable with their own faiths that were the easiest to deal with without exception. Try getting environmentalist extremists (who are religious, but non-deist) to respect anybody elses beliefs or have any perspective about their own.
