Isn't deifying someone a sin?

It is. But you oughta direct your complaint to the worshippers themselves. I only report what I see around here.

You know, your Rudy is pretty tough on criminals and Saudis that he knew were behind 9/11. Didn't take that Saudi dough. Much to his credit.

God help the honest men and women of the Border Patrol who want to do their duty.

I agree. God bless the HONEST men and women of the BP who want to do their duty. They certainly deserve our respect and our support.

Members of the Tenn. National Guard will be "honored" for showing restraint in this incident earlier this month.

AP: "Tennessee National Guard troops were approached by a group of armed men while on patrol along the Arizona-Mexico border earlier this month and withdrew without confrontation, according to a military report.

One armed man with the unidentified group came as close as 10 meters of the four Guardsmen on Jan. 3, according to an incident summary written by the National Guard Bureau.

But both groups kept their weapons low throughout the encounter, which ended as the Guardsmen pulled away, as officials said they were trained to do".

Yep, the Guardsmen, who are nothing more than a Safety Patrol, are trained not to shoot, but instead they should call the Border Patrol for backup...and of course, the BP shouldn't shoot either, cuz we know what can happen to them if they do...tsk, tsk.

What I sat in the gallery and heard tonight," she said, "was a total sell-out of the United States of America to Mexico.

Well, I can't disagree with you there, lady, but consider this: maybe Mexico bid higher than al-Qa'eda....

I'll be voting for him too and am working for him now. If you should ever want to make a contribution via the internet go to www.teamtancredo.com

If you want to keep abreast of the latest news go to his congressional website: www.house.gov/tancredo

Let me tell you why I think supporting or voting for him would not be wasting time or a vote. It has to do with the dynamics of the political process. First, one of Tom's objectives (win or lose) is to compete and force the phony candidates to be CLEAR about their position on the illegal invasion. We've all had more than enough of the "comprehensive plan" crap, which is code for amnesty.

Second, even if he loses he will have a tremendous impact on both parties if he garners millions of votes. They will read the handwriting on the wall and modify their own positions in his direction.

In other words, the disconnect between the party line and the wishes of the vast majority of Americans will be exposed.

I'm not saying that there aren't other Republicans who are right on the issue (Hunter,to cite one) but they've come aboard lately. Tom was the pioneer and prophet who foresaw the coming catastrophe first and courageously adhered to his principles when it was very unpopular.

What they may have done wrong was a minor infraction of procedure and since it's now known that two or three of the jurors were coerced (as they've now testified), there should have been a mistrial for the original conviction. Meanwhile, a member of the drug cartel is given immunity and is suing us for $5 million. It may be impossible to ever know precisely what happened in the heat of "battle" but it's clear that the agents were trying to do their duty. To try to establish some sort of moral equivalency between our border agents and a felonious agent of the drug cartel is ludicrous.

Sadly, I think many would rather give an opinion while ignoring facts. For months Lou Dobbs (and many journals, such as National Review) have been carefully examining this matter and outlining the incredibly flawed case of the prosecutor. It's clearly been a miscarriage of justice.

You're right about that and the objectives of CFR and the elites of Mexico, U.S.A., and Canada is to eliminate borders (and American sovereignty) completely. It's even been persuasively expressed and explained by some experts that this is the underlying cause of Bush's desire for amnesty and open-borders. This is also why many Republican business interests love the illegal tsunami - cheap labor and no benefits! COME ON OVER!

The guy was unarmed! He was running away. You are making me defend this idiot drug runner! I wish the incident hadn't happened, but it did. I wish the borders were secure, they are not. I'm realistic here. What the two agents did was wrong. Get over it. When Bush leaves office he can pardon them, but don't count on it. Rule of law and all.

This is a very confusing issue for a lot of people. They just cannot understand that our government in general wants open borders and cheap labor. They ignore the elephant in the room. The truth is there for all to see, yet they refuse to admit it. Socialism will be forced upon us as a result. It will be a boon to elites from all parties. It is just a hard sell to the people who believe America to be and stay a sovereign nation. As a result, they have to sell the notion that those who wish to protect our borders and enforce the law are racists and selfish bigots. Some people like to fancy that those who see the elephant are conspiracy people. To be a conspiracy, the elephant would not be there for all to see. My challenge is to ask those who just don't understand why our leaders refuse to enforce laws and protect the borders why they think this is so. There is a reason, so what is it?

I agree completely. Iraq was certainly a factor but the MSM has ignored the fact that many conservatives had completely lost all confidence in Bush's credibility - which is one reason we lost Congress. The Gallop and Nielson polls clearly demonstrated that while two-thirds of the nation opposed his amnesty proposals he ignored what was once his base. He split the party and that's where we are now. It's become more and more clear to Republicans that Bush is not, nor has ever been, a Reaganite conservative.

Since Bush is so oblivious to public opinion and what is just, it's a moot point.

Well stated. If the election was lost because the Republicans and conservatives (not the same thing nowadays) stayed home, then it was lost not because of the Iraq war, which both groups support, however reluctantly at times, but out of principle nonetheless, but because as you pointed out, because of domestic issues, which have been screwed up more than the war - the deficits, the bridges to nowhere, the outsourcing of jobs, the borders.
