Well the best maxim is follow money supply. If we retreat from the ME our currency's going south. The price people will expect on money loaned to us is going up. And that's where the economy being tanked intentionally by the Fed comes in.

Nazdog has a steep hill to climb before my neighbor can recoup his buying in at 5800.
He had to sell his lakeside bungalow to cover his losses. BTW, he thinks Clinton and Rubin lorded over the greatest economy...ever. And oil companies make obscene profits and gouge the American driver.
Need I say he's a liberal? I always tell him not to go into day trading.
