The money quote from the Blog:
Like I said earlier, this was not just a brazen attack by some militia or terrorists; behind this is a message and a threat from Iran and its surrogates to turn even the calm parts of Iraq into a dangerous war zone for America and the government in Baghdad.

I'm skeptical based solely on the fact CNN is the only MSM carrying it, and the timing of it
WASHINGTON The Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday passed a nonbinding resolution that concludes "it is not in the national interest of the United States" to deepen U.S. military involvement in Iraq.
The measure, passed on a 12-9 vote, goes to the Senate floor for a vote before the full chamber, which is expected sometime next week.

This sure is going to be tough on our small groups of embeds if it continues. In some ways I can see why some demorats and RINOS, and some republicans are not to enthusiatic about sending our troops into Baghdad.
This kind of thing turns all our stomachs. But short of pulling out what the hell can we do.
We either get the Iraqi forces up to full snuff or just bail the hell out, which of course is not an option.
