I read a blurb on the web the other day that Raytheon has taken the basic Phalanx system and replaced the business end of it with a solid state laser. The article said that in tests it had shot down 60 mm mortars.
Going to be pretty cool when that system is ready to deploy.

They don't want us to own one but you can with BATF class III approval.
I actually saw a GE M134 for sale on gunsamerica.com a while back. I think the buyer was asking around 300k.
That would have to be the coolest, and most expensive gun to shoot.
