Rudy Tough on Crime & Terror, HA!Immigration politics have similarly harmed New York. Former mayor Rudolph Giuliani sued all the way up to the Supreme Court to defend the citys sanctuary policy against a 1996 federal law decreeing that cities could not prohibit their employees from cooperating with the INS. Oh yeah? said Giuliani; just watch me. The INS, he claimed, with what turned out to be grotesque irony, only aims to terrorize people. Though he lost in court, he remained defiant to the end. On September 5, 2001, his handpicked charter-revision committee ruled that New York could still require that its employees keep immigration information confidential to preserve trust between immigrants and government. Six days later, several visa-overstayers participated in the most devastating attack on the city and the country in history. New York conveniently forgot the 1996 federal ban on sanctuary laws until a gang of five Mexicansfour of them illegalabducted and brutally raped a 42-year-old mother of two near some railroad tracks in Queens. The NYPD had already arrested three of the illegal aliens numerous times for such crimes as assault, attempted robbery, criminal trespass, illegal gun possession, and drug offenses. The department had never notified the INS.
He's a disgrace and a phony!

So what did Rudy say that's supposed to seem so...conservative?
Me made a joke about the UN and we're supposed to believe that is his actual feeling on the subject. Where is his record of being against the UN?

Say what you will....you always do...but at least Rudy is showing leadership...which we still have yet to see the rats exhibit or the RINOs.

What's the source of that quote?

If Rudy really knew his place in life, he would have challenged Hillary for her seat.

He has always shown leadership. My problem is at least on social issues his leadership is towards the left and that is why he is one of the three people mentioned for the rep noomination I could never vote for. I do not vote for liberals.

So be it. We vote for leaders.
To: auto power
It's easy to bash Rudy its much harder to come up with someone who can actually beat hillary.

Take a look at Duncan Hunter. His leadership was formed as and officer in the US Army Rangers.

I think McCain shot himself in the foot, yesterday, as I knew he would. He trashed Cheney and Rumsfeld. There is only Sun City golf carts in his future, now.

Duncan Hunter is a great candidate, Tancraedo would be great as would Tommy Franks or Norman Schwarzkopf, out of all those which one can beat Hillary?
