I heard Rush Limbaugh today and he was basically for the President heathcare plan and did not see in it an offense against the "conservative principle".

What is that they say about Rush followers, mind-numbed robots? Rush says its ok, so its ok. Rush has always been a defender for Prez Bush. I admire his loyalty. I suggest you read Bush's health insurance plan yourself and make up your own mind as to whether it is redistributing the wealth or not, because it it.

President Bush's health plan is a step in the right direction. First of all those who pay there own insurance, like I did for many years, were actually penalized by having to pay with after tax dollars while those getting their insurance from corporations or government paid with pre tax dollars. Secondly the only way to get costs under control is thorugh individuals paying their own bills. I'm all for any plan that moves health insurance out of the government and corporation hands into the hands of the indivdual.

I do not follow Rush like a robot and in fact I disagree with him at least 15% of the time. The President plan is not income distribution but rather a tax cut and it is the ultimate free market capitalism.

Do you have a link to the plan? If so, please post it...along with your own plans to solve our health insurance problems and the mounting health care costs and entitlement programs that are driving the small businessman out of business and the large corporate employers overseas!!

So flag, this is all you had to say in the beginning... with the link:

I suggest you read Bush's health insurance plan yourself and make up your own mind as to whether it is redistributing the wealth or not.

Was that hard? It's called discussion and views. The derogatory comments aren't necessary.

Of course the "they" that say it are by-and-large the lunatic fringe of the left. Some people will support the president's proposal, some won't (on both sides). Plenty of people listen to Rush everyday and agree with the majority of what he says but not everything. That seems to be NORMAL for humans. Here's an irony for you, though. You say people that think the same way as Rush about this policy are "mind-numbed robots" but you "admire" Rush's loyalty? So HIS support of the president's plan is "admiral", but ordinary (republican) Americans that might also find some sense in it are "robots" and thus incapable of thinking for themselves? Wow, just wow!

However, America gets the government she deserves. Were I Bush, I'd think the country expected me to move to the left as well. He just went through an election where some of our most conservative leaders (Santorum, Allen, for instance) whose ideology about issues like the border & health care were more in line with people on this board than the president's, lost. (Keep in mind, the president's stance on this issue has NOT changed. I knew before he was elected the first time what his thoughts about the southern border were.)

It's the same with the WOT. Like the Vietnam generation before, it appears that when the going gets tough the people "tire" of war. Our soldiers have the guts and fortitude to stick it out in some of the worst hell-holes on earth and we can't even muster enough resolve to see it through. Once again "we the people" have let the press and the left define the war (and they don't even have to come up with an alternative plan). Those sent to protect us, to fight for us, will, once again pay the harshest price for our fickleness. Frankly, it disgusts me. So, knowing the democrats' policies on the border, health care and Iraq, we opened the door and let the left in. The people on both sides, apparently, have spoken. Bush and the republicans heard it loud and clear. What other message could they get?
