I don't know about the brutish thing but Britt Hume did get Webb all wrong. Webb's speech was disjointed, contradictory and full of blatant false assertions. What I've come to expect from democrats.
Agreed. Unfortunately, I think the bar is so low for Democrats that anything that appears reasonable in delivery or substance is now praised. All Webb had to do was avoid a Dean-like scream, and since he managed to do that he's praised.
It's a sad state of affairs when no one in the MSM bothers to actually look at the substance of a speech and make the points you just did.
