Borgnine grew up near the corner of Dixwell Avenue and Arch Street in Hamden, serving Mass at St. Anne's Church, an Italian nationality church. Really? That's pretty cool. My wife went to college at Southern, just a short walk from that intersection. In fact, we even went to Mass at St. Anne's a few times when I came up from school in NYC to visit.
