What would they do if a bunch of squatters moved in?

(The sign says, "No dogs allowed -- except seeing-eye dogs" Why don't they put that sign down lower?)

It would not surprise me if a few protestors from "Peace Now" found their way into this fake city and started protesting against Israel for inhuman treatment of the city's residents. ;>

Everyone does realize that if the terrorists had the firepower and equipment that israel has they would not build a mock israeli town to train, they would just kill everyone in it.
THis mock town shows the humanity of the israelis because they do not want to kill innocents so they train to minimize that. That would not happen if on the muslim side.

Our military should rent some time on this training field.

Around 500 structures were built for a maximum capacity of 5,000 residents. "Just like in every real city we built mosques, a Casba and even a refugee camp,"Kind of funny, 5,000 residents in my hometown and we don't have a refugee camp. Does every Arab community have refugee camps?

Ours may not be as "realistic" in their material and atmosphere but that's just "gravy". Repetition in all maneuvers required for urban fighting is the key to becoming effective.
It's not unlike the improvements we saw when we started using vaguely human shaped targets instead of bullseyes for training. The soldier must react instantly to a situation, without stopping to consider how they "feel" about it. Continued training allows lightning fast evaluation and selection of tactics. Shoot, don't shoot exercises and total 360 degree situational awareness must be drilled into a soldier fighting on the modern battlefield.
In the past the IDF had constant opportunities to gain this sort of effect in the real world. In their last engagement with the Hizzies they found that they had lost that edge. Now they are doing something that we do routinely. It has served us well and I think that they will realize great benefit from it as well.

Did Olmert apologize to the imaginary residence for his nations aggression?
Israel should surrender now and get it over with.

Does every Arab community have refugee camps? Most arab communities in that area are refugee camps that have been there for nearly 50 years.

We should build this in Nevada to train the troops before we send them to the Middle East.

We should build this in Nevada to train the troops before we send them to the Middle East.We should build this in Nevada to train us and get exposed with a combat environment to tell all the muzzies that they pick the wrong people to mess with before we send them to hell.
Are these "laser rifles" available for civilians? ... seems to be a good stuff to play with without getting killed.

What would they do if a bunch of squatters moved in? Wouldn't be the first time. Many of the so-called "Palestinians" are actually Egyptians and Jordanians who showed up after 1948 and have been squatting there ever since. One of the more famous of these was an Egyptian named Yasser Arafat.

"Around 500 structures were built..."
Wow! I've done that kind of training but not with anything near 500 buildings. It would be hard, indeed, to get through all of that without every soldier in a battalion having his beeber stuned. ...er, sensors hit and beeper sounding off, that is.

They should have used Gaza as their training ground.
Oh wait, there are no innocents there. Never mind.
