I hate to see the Weather Channel get caught up in politics. They provide a needed news service, and like my beliefs about news services, it should not be biases. They have enough to talk about by presenting the facts while staying away from a political agenda.

"I hate to see the Weather Channel get caught up in politics."

Never forget it was Democrats who made the weather a political issue. Of course, it is partially Republicans' fault for not pointing their fingers and laughing every time a Democrat brought it up. ;-)

You can't keep liberals from destroying your lives. I say there are as big of an enemy as the Islamos.

According to an editorial Drudge posted over the weekend Con Job at the Weather Channel, the channel is deliberately moving left in their coverage of weather

The move away from scientific forecasting of the weather to sensationalized leftist political advocacy is in part due to the influence of Wonya Lucas, executive vice president and general manager of The Weather Channel Networks.

Lucas admitted in a recent interview with Media Village that the reprogramming of The Weather Channel was influenced by her tenure at CNN when that network shifted from presenting straight news to personality-driven programming.

Lucas decided that what was good for CNN was good for The Weather Channel, and the objectivity and respectability of the network has now been thrown out the window. It doesn't matter that CNN's turn to the left has caused their ratings to plummet; The Weather Channel's embraced its model

I haven't had TV since '97. I've never needed the weather channel. If I want to know what the weather is going to be like, I just hit one of hundreds of sources on the internet. I need no sensationalizing. If I want cool disaster video, I go to limewire or Youtube.
