The senators are "Democrats," members of the "Democrat" party, not Democratic party.

All Republicans are democratically elected, too.

It's important that we use the correct term. Calling them the "Democratic" party and referring to senators as "Democratic senators" implies that Republicans are anti-democratic.

It is also a fallacy, as the Democrats, with their special interests, union alliance, and support of judicial activism are the least democratic of the two parties.
