Discover weapons that will always find their target, including the AS50 semi-automatic sniper rifle, the Vulcan and Aardvark mine destroyers, the SMAW-NE shoulder-launched thermobaric munition and the Fire Scout unmanned aerial vehicle.
It was a good show, with lots of interesting historical info, but their utter "awe" over the AS-50 was a bit much. They mentioned the Princess Pat Brigades long range kill record setter, but then completely forgot to mention that said shot wasn't with the new AS-50, but with a McMillan Tac-50. Sub-MOA .50's aren't that new nor is the firepower behind these things anything out of the ordinary either. Hit something with a .50 BMG, and it stays dead.
Improvements in modularity are nice, but shouldn't come with all the hype while still unproven for reliability and long term accuracy.
Just as a side note: They didn't mention Ronnie Barrett's toys once. You'd think only AI had ever come up with a .50 BMG semi-auto sniper rifle from their complete glossing over of the M82A1.
A lot of these are NOW weapons that we develop and don't use . Sort of like tactical nukes . If you got em', use em '!
