Sounds like you are believing the drug smuggler. The agents said they thought he had a gun.

The only people who know for certain what happened, are the border agents and the drug smuggler.

Both agents had good work records and commendations and hadn't fired on anyone before...why would they start now without reason?

No one can say for sure, who is lying and who isn't. But given that one of them is an illegal alien, drug smuggling, border crossing, liar. I'll back our guys.

I think there is more to the story than that brief explanation. And if he was able to pardon convicted drug dealers, why not pardon two guys who reacted to a suspicious individual who tunred out to be an illegal drug dealer?
