Maybe he is superstitious and thinks it's his lucky sweatshirt.

If so, it was completely useless for him tonight.

In my mind, they are still the Baltimore Colts.

Eventually, they'll bring up the black senator from Illinois who'll be rooting for Da Bears. And let's not forget that Prince will be the black artist who'll perform during the halftime show.

I have nothing against the Pats, honestly. They're a great team and franchise. But every time I see their coach in that same sweatshirt, I cringe.

It was awesome how the Colts contributed the victory to God. I was wondering if the ACLU was in the stands, ready to handcuff them and take them away for speaking God's Name in public.

When the comment was made about this being the first two black coaches in SB history, both my husband and I said, Hmmmm, that's interesting. We just took it as anectdotal information. If it really is true, then it is true... that this is the first time that two black coaches meet at the SB. So what?

GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!

And also James Brown in the CBS studios. He's the first black network halftime show anchor to ever do a halftime show at a super bowl with two black head coaches. MLK is smiling!

The SuperBowl should be announced in racial terms. During each play, the announcer should note the race of each player involved. And if they cut to Pam Oliver they should mention she's Black. And if a player runs into a photographer on the sideline, we should be told his race. And don't forget the ref and umpire. And the owners. And of course mention the race of the fans the camera focuses on during the game.

Understand your point … got to vent anyhow …

What the hell dose race have to do with anything in a football game?

We live a country that fights racism at ever turn and yet we bring these things up in something as mundane as a football game.

Regardless the race … a good couch is a good couch, regardless his skin color!!

It needs to be mentioned but if it goes past one day it's overkill.

How ridiculous.

Considering many players and fans are black, it's just typical television appealing to its viewers. I don't see how these few words are all that remarkable. If the old white ethnic loyalties were still strong, there'd be talk about the first (ethnicity X) doing such and such.

It will truly be a historic day when a white running back wins the Super Bowl; probably never happen though

I thought Bellichek looked like some whino they'd pulled off of a streetcorner in downtown Indy after that game. If I saw a guy looking like that on the street, I'd almost expect to smell cheap liquor on his breath.

I know it's tough to take a loss, but doing so with grace, knowing that your team played well against a very good opponent is the way to go about it.

Go Colts! Go Manning!

And I almost wanted to ask Manning what if felt like to be the 65th white quarterback to play in the Super Bowl (or whatever number he is). Waaaaay too big a deal over that, and Dungy didn't look to comfortable with it, either.

Come on, his team is going to the Super Bowl, and they start talkinga about his race?

It would be hard to express how much a lot of us miss Tony Dungy. After the railroading he got from the Bucs he deserves to go all the way.

Having watched him for quite a few years I don't believe he would be able to do anything but give the credit to God.

Tony is a class act!
