1. They were like Dog Years...each one seemed like seven.
2. High interest rates...16% or even higher for home mortgages.
3. Giving the Panama Canal away.
4. Stabbing the Shah in the back, and ushering in terrorism as a state policy.
5. Totally inept dealings with the Soviet Union, amazement that they invaded Afghanistan, and retaliation by keeping us out of the Olympics.
6. Gutting the intelligence agencies.
7. Pardoning draft-dodgers.
8. Total demoralization of the American public, and Carter BLAMED US for it!
9. I became a Republican and would have voted for Bozo the Clown over Carter.

Yeah..I feel the same, and there are a few GOP candidates that I would not vote in the primary for either, over Newt...I just don't trust him when he gets on TV..
He tries too hard to have everyone like him.
