Slim/None, if he was a leader he be running as an ex-Kansas Governor. Who cares what a Senator thinks about ANYTHING..
They are right in the place where they can work to right societies wrongs....yet they dont...

Besides, he aint exactly telegenic and the average moron voter wants starpower--like Kucinich has /s

No, I read you all the way through. I think that's what sensitivity training really is, anyway.

Yes, you, too, must love your drug abusing, slept with over 1000 partners, homosexual co-worker who is allowed to openly say he thinks religion is evil.

He's a repressed minority, afterall.

The sad thing is that I have several homosexual friends and many acquaintances. They're all horribly screwed up. Most of them got caught up in drugs. The thing is, you have to be very careful in even talking to a friend like that, lest you get strung up for being insensitive.

What are his chances of winning?

He might get 2%, same as Tancredo.

Lets be sure we're all on the same page.

We don't care if he's the nominee. We don't care who is the nominee. NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN DEFEATING HILLARY. Any, repeat ANY, possible GOP nominee will have the support of all who understand that ABSOLUTE IMPERATIVE of beating Hillary.

Brownback apparently has some chance. At Intrade , the probability of Brownback gaining the GOP nod last traded at 3.2% (This compares favorably to the 0.2% (500-1!) probability at which Freeper fave Duncan Hunter last traded). Other surprises include Hagel at 3.9% ahead of Gingrich's 3.5%, Hucklebee's 6.8%, and McCain at 43% vs. only 17% for Giuliani.

He's a Catholic conservative who is staunchly against cutting and running in Iraq. I really hope he does well.

..Sen. Brownback is better than the so-called "frontrunners"

But it is a wise observation about the chances of Senators vs. Governors--the GOP needs to look at some Governors (Barbour, Sanford, Owens)IMHO...

First off, thanks for reading my rant. It was pretty long, I didn't think anyone would read it.

Regarding your comments above, I don't have any gay friends that I know of, but I've known several gay people, and would have to concur with your statement - they tend to be pretty messed up people. I don't say that out of malice, but out of pity.

I like an article I read here on FR recently that characterized homosexuality as a developmental disorder. Briefly, men who don't differentiate themselves from their mothers and become men, become homosexuals. It's kind of a variant on the "emotionally distant father" theory.

Thank you so much for this list. WORLD magazine (i.e. Marvin Olasky just had a HUGE puff piece on B-back). Your little list here takes a lot of that puff out of B-back.

The last Senator from Kansas who got anywhere in national politics, was Charles Curtis, Vice Presidential Candidate in 1928 - running alongside Herbert Hoover.

Brownback would probably lose to either Hillary or Obama something like 70-30. In that case, he could be a modern-era Alf Landon. Trouble is, other than Rudy or McCain, I don't see much on the 'Pub bench. The media will build up McCain enough to get him the 'Pub nod, then turn on him and destroy him when he goes up against Hillary Obama. And Rudy will never win over so-called "true conservatives". They will sit out the '08 election and hand the WH to the 'Rats. Hello, Madame President...(BARF!)

"The media has this all set up, these are the canadiates they are going to give postitve coverage:"

Hillary
Obama
McCain
and Rudy

I tell you this - A McCain Yard sign will never cast it's shadow on my front lawn.

Good post.

Anyone one of these issues would make me stay home or vote Third Party.

I got suckered in by Dubya (actually I let my distaste for Horseface override my judgment) and it won't happen again!
