I have a suggestion, but I would be banned from FreeRepublic and the liberal thought police would be at my door.

"These folks deserve a denial-of service attack. But that would be wrong."

My first thought exactly. Like you said, that would be wrong though...... =)

John Gibson on FoxNews is going to cover this story today. I heard him say this at approx. 2:10 pacific time before he went to commercial.

Just saw the story Mr. Gibson did. Employee has been fired. Owner is an American-Muslim of Pakistani descent and disagrees with the war but doesn't condone his employee's response to Sgt. Hess. Company has been receiving threatening phone calls every 30 seconds.

I just posted on another thread, not seeing this one. Joh Gibson gave good coverage to this problem and Col. (Gen?) Scales was the guest. Wonder if Brit Hume will cover it at 6? Thanks to all the Freepers who sent e-mails to all.

Scales said that the soldiers in this unit are in an area where they are sleeping in empty buildings or on the ground. There are sand flies/fleas and other insects carrying disease that attack them and they need to be off the ground, so these mats are a necessity. Didn't hear if the owner forwarded another e-mail or not, but his communication system has been tied in knots .

Didn't know there was another thread. I'm glad you posted to it. It's great when freepers and others take a stand and something good happens because of it.

Good job everyone! Thanks to John Gibson also.

I enjoy all the FoxNews show hosts. Especially compared to the hosts on CNN and MSNBC. Cavuto, Gibson, Hume and O'Reilly are my top faves.

I bet they get their mats. If not from this company, someone out there will provide them. Many Americans step up to the plate when soldiers are in need of a product outside of what the government provides as standard issue. I've heard of it happening many times.

Hit them where it hurts, the WALLET. They have already pulled their website (lost revenue for sure). Now email them and call them. Keep emails and phones swamped. No emails, no phones, no website, no money.

Darnedest irony of this whole thing was that I was in the market for a scooter, and Wisconsin has quite a few dealerships in that sector.

The big thing was John Gibson picking this up. You know staffers for many media outlets lurk FR.

Who needs a broadcast news outlet? Ground Zero is a server farm in the California Central Valley. To heck with the NY/DC beltway.

I wouldn't mind my original idea of repeated Hook Flashes to the 800 number (as it costs the recipient per call)

I wouldn't bother with that in any case. 800 calls are dirt cheap now. Not like the old days. Waste of energy.

It costs them money everytime someone calls an 800 number.

Not much. 3uTelecom charges their 800 customers 4.8 cents a minute for incoming calls. If you really want to do it right, you go to a pay phone and call their 800 number. Then they get assesed 65 cents per call to reimburse the owner of the pay phone.

Still, I wouldn't bother. Assuming these are facts, these people will have moved on very quickly when the flack starts hitting.

The email was shut down earlier. Seems there are some ticked Americans and Fox has ran the story.

That is fine and understandable....the latter statement was very unprofessional and totally uncalled for and the jerks name sounds Middle Eastern, is he?

All is all, he is a flipping jerk.
