NJ away from the cities I thought was a nice place, but not in the winter.

I just bought a place down at the shore that I hope to retire to. South Jersey down the shore is one of the best places along the entire east coast, but don't tell anyone, it'll get too crowded.

Have you ever been to New Jersey ???? Most of the state is beautiful. It is also the 2nd wealthiest state in the entire nation.

Unfortunately ignorant people too often judge New Jersey by what they see on the Turnpike or TV. If I judged all of Virginia just by Alexandria and Richmond, I would think your state was a hellhole too.

The state is quite beautiful in the western part. That said, I've driven along I-95 on more than one occasion through clouds of noxious fumes so thick I was concerned about the paint on my truck being eaten away.

If not for the numbnuts that run the place, New Jersey is a very nice place. Four seasons, farms, cities, Giants, Jets, Devils, Nets, ski in the winter and surf in the summer. If we could get the liberals to go away, I'd go back.

One of the most beautiful cherry blooms in the nation happens in New Jersey ever year. It's in the middle of those scenes in the opening credits of The Sopranos.

I thought the same thing about NJ until a job relocation brought me here.

I have lived all over the world in very different settings and my little borough of NJ is among my tops...great place to raise kids, nice neighbors, small town America....

You'll change your tune after you see the Jersey countryside. I was there many years ago - rolling hills, green , lots of trees, little quaint towns. Very pretty.
