From what people tell me about Mississauga turning into an ethnic swamp, I wonder why he was even there.

"I never tire of the music of the Mamas and the Papas,..."

Nor do I. It is very pleasing to the ears and soul. RIP Denny.

He also dabbled in television, playing the role of the affable harbourmaster in the children's TV series "Theodore Tugboat."

i watched that a million times with my kids and never recognized him.

"ham sandwich."

Ham makes for a better story, but in fact I believe it was chicken.

TORONTO (CP) - Halifax-born Denny Doherty was remembered Friday as the "angelic voice" that carried the '60s folk-pop group the Mamas and the Papas through such memorable hits as "California Dreamin'" and "Monday, Monday."

California Dreamin' is the song from that episode of Simon & Simon that I was telling you about:

If Mama Cass had given Karen Carpenter that sandwich, they'd both be alive . . . . . . . . .

Watched a TV movie about the Mamas and the Papas awhile back.

It was very interesting. They had a whirlwind of a career.

Wow, the best years of our life. Michelle is now the only living survivor. Great tight harmonies in this group. You almost wonder if the drugs and stuff had not been involved if they would not have lasted longer. But I guess the death of Elliot would be a hard gap to fill.

On the other thread the consensus is that it wasn't a ham samwich, but definetely a heart attack (unrelated to eating, they tell us), and that the evil MSM had lied to spread the rumour about the sandwich, but the Biography Channel revealed the Good Lord's honest truth (as if Biography Channel wasn't part of the same MSM!). It was a sandwich I insist (or ham itself without the fixins!)

All the leaves really are brown, and the skies gray. Bon voyage.

Michelle Phillips cheated on John with Denny (both lucky b*&=@rd&), and is now the only M&P left alive.

Cass didn't choke on a freakin' sandwich.

"Cass didn't choke on a freakin' sandwich."

If she had a heart attack she most likely vomited and then choked on the aspirated stomach contents of her half-eaten ham sandwich. So it could have been both that killed her.
