With a few dissents, Sen. Mel Martinez (R-FL) was elected general chair of the Republican Nat'l Cmte this afternoon. RNC general counsel Mike Duncan was elected chair.
Why not Michael Steele or Rick Santorum?
Hey, T, don't worry about it.
I've got your back. - Onyx is an old time OBL twit.
No, they voted for Martinez because GWB told them to do so.
I do believe that the Senate and c-span is better than NOTHING..and with the liberal MSM, his chance of getting on network TV is very, very...slim.
He was announced as the candidate months ago...and not ONE Sunday TV talk show has had him as a guest..
I haven't even seen him interviewed on Fox News..
>Just send them one of these....
Maybe they'll get the message.<
LOL! REALLY, I DID JUST THAT...but it didn't work. :o(
OKAY BUDDIE...
You keep talking about onyx without pinging her and that is NOT right...and I do believe she has already told you that on this thread.
ALSO..she is one of the smartest posters on this site...so watch out who you call a TWIT.
Also..there is supposed to be no name-calling.
I got so angry, I forgot to ping you to post #286...after yelling at the poster for not pinging you.
I am very sorry.
>a real conservative who can articulate the position of a conservative in such a way so as to concretely show a benefit to the "traditional" democrat voter.
I hear you dude, but that guy just lost to nobody in Pa. Rick Santorum.
I've written off the blue states.
It wasn't really "anyone but Bush," it was anyone but the GOP, and thats what it has become there, and the traditional democrat knows less than my cat.
FIND ONE POST OF MINE TO PROVE YOUR TOTALLY FALLACIOUS CLAIM OR FOREVER BE PROVEN A LIAR.
And "buddie" is spelled "buddy" in this context, twit!
I don't like Martinez. He's a lightweight and a typical politician. But I'm not in love with the GOP as a whole right now so Mel is at least Truth in Advertising. After all...electing someone like Steele to the Chair would signal the GOP had got its act together and prided itself in sponsering intelligent people with passion that were emininently qualified to repair the damage the administration and Republicans have done the last couple of years among the public as a whole let alone their own base.
Mel's the perfect choice for the GOP.
Of course I won't be donating or working on their behalf..I'll stick to hand picked candidates where I'm certain who is getting my money and what it is being used to support.
Thank you, Txsleuth!!!
I would not have seen the troll's vicious lie, had you not spotted him.
Do it yourself. :) We know who you are, miss.
The head of the RNC is a figurehead, and nothing more. He doesn't set policy, enact it, or put it into motion all by his lonesome. Believing he weilds more power than the Congress, Howard Dean or the president is being foolish.
Liar. I will ping a couple of posters who KNOW me.
I am one of the most vociferous anti-illegal posters on this board.
You're wrong, sir. The platform is defined by the platform committee and that committee is always dominated by the staff of the presidential nominee -- in this case in 2008.
This is a non event. His job is to win a majority. It's not, and should not be, immigration.
Third parties are irrelevant in the larger scheme of things. Until they can get beyond being a bunch of goobers hoarding conspiracy theories, they'll largely float on the fringe.
A troll or a retread or a combination of the two.
Yep and one that likes to stick with facts
