WITHOUT the Grassroots Lobbying "Reform" abomination. The Senate voted 55-43 to strip those odious restrictions on free speech from the bill. All Republicans voted yes. Only 7 Democrats joined them.
43 Democrats would rather not hear from the pesky people who pay their salaries.

Oh brother. Exactly.
The President has a pen too.

No need to veto. See post 3. The really bad stuff was taken out before the vote, with little thanks to the Democrats.

What exactly is in this bill?

No. Unless there were other amendments, the bill is everything in the proposed ethics reform bill EXCEPT that.
To: mware
Yeah, and when the vote was taken on stripping that abomination of desolation from the bill only 7 Democrats were patriotic enough, and pro-American enough, to vote to strip it out.
The rest of the Democrats proved themselves once again to be little more than totalitarian minded apparatchiks who do not deserve to be in our country, and certainly not in the Senate.

The grassroots lobbying reform was the bit I was concerned about.
