One quote I just read...
http://rwor.org/a/1270/pregnancy-resource-center-deception.htm
"The latest weapon in the arsenal of these CPCs is showing pregnant women ultrasound images of the developing fetus, and it seems to be having a major effect on women. Focus on the Family, a Christian fascist organization that funds and promotes CPCs and has spent nearly $1.2 million on ultrasound machines, claims that nearly 70 percent of the women shown ultrasound decide against abortion.3
For a woman who is looking forward to giving birth, seeing an ultrasound image of her developing fetus can be a joyful thing. But the use of ultrasound to trick women into motherhood has nothing to do with providing decent medical care. It is an ugly act, using modern technology to yank women back into the ancient role of mothers and producers of babies."
Such an ugly act, showing women what's inside of them! Oh no! How dare people show them the truth! If that hadn't been in there, I'd have been inclined to believe that CPCs were the cruel anti-woman pits of despair this writer makes them out to be. It's restricting a woman's rights to show her what the lump of tissue looks like! God forbid less women choose abortion!
I actually just wondered if this author is prepared to go up to the children who are alive because their moms saw an ultrasound and say, You shouldn't be here. You're a terrorist. You're only here because of a weapon against choice. Your face restricted your mother's choice! You little jerk.
Dear Nevernow,
"Such an ugly act, showing women what's inside of them! Oh no! How dare people show them the truth!"
LOL!!
Yes, it's just dethpicable!!

gee, all 10 will assemble...
Care to explain that one to me? I'll be the first to admit I'm a bit slow.
Well, I would've been there, but my Grandmother was scheduled to have a mastectomy until her heart caused problems.....
When I was 14 years old I got pregnant. I was not the "best" kid in the world....actully my teen years would probably have made a good After School Special. My mother forced me to have an abortion.
Not one single day has gone by in the last 30 years that I did not regret that abortion. I think about my child every single day. God has forgiven me for what I did, but I will NEVER forget.
God bless you.
Seconded.
Thank you sitetest.
Thank you as well Nevernow.
Thank you for your honesty in coming forward with your story.
I truly believe that it is women like yourself are in the best position to help other confused women avoid the same heartache. And for that, God will truly bless you.
Here is a story of another woman who had a similar experience:

Thank you wagglebee, I remember that thread. I actually have posted once or twice over the years....about having an abortion. I also placed a child for adoption when I was 17 years old.
That child found me..by using the internet...when he was 19. He just had is 27th birthday 4 days ago. The reason he tracked me down was to thank me for not killing him. I can say from experience that abortion should NEVER be an option. Giving a child up for adoption if you can't raise it for whatever reason....that is the right thing to do. It was the ONLY right decision I ever made as a teenager and I have had NO regrets about it.
If there were more "optimists" like you, America would still have slavery.
I am one of a massive network of individuals working to end this evil. You, too, are a part the work, and I thank you too!
Thanks for the ping!
The ONLY WAY this tragedy which has already claimed nearly 50 MILLION lives will ever come to an end is if as many of us as possible are as vocal as possible.
What a horrible, little woman with a horrible, little mind.
You're absolutely right. We all need to be vocal. Not just to our peers, either. We need to all be writing the people who represent us. They need to know what we think, and how many people will stand behind them if they push legislation to end this. Not only should we be vocal to them, but we should be sending letters and emails to companies that fund abortions.
I admit I don't send as many as I can, and when I do, the opinion of a 19 year old girl doesn't ring very strongly. I get passed off as a religious nut despite the absence of religion in all of my letters. But no matter how many people brush us off, it has to be done, or else prolifers will be categorized as a small group of nuts. Everyone who believes these lives should be protected NEEDS to be vocal, or else nothing will be done.
I know. She's just scared. There's an alternative for abortion now, and for the record I will say that most people who are pro-choice really do support the right to choose abortion, not have it forced. Whatever can be said about their regard for the child, they have the best intentions for women who are choosing what to do with their pregnancies. There are those that don't, though, they just want abortions done to keep their statistics and funding going. They're selfish, and these centers threaten them. She's appealing to those people who are pro-choice because they want women to choose (not because they want to have women abort at every turn) and saying, "This is hindering her right to choose!" I hope that they don't buy into it. Crisis Pregnancy Centers are things that people on ALL sides should support, because it's helping eliminate a woman's need for abortion.
