If you use the comparrison of global attacks, then you would have to consider the daily attacks upon our people serving in Iraq.
The terrorists seem to have the ability to lay low and attack at the most opportune time. They are patient. Think of the efforts we have taken and implemented since 9/11 that certainly would have slowed the domestic opportunity for terrorism. Even so, the administration has admitted that we are still highly at risk domestically. If the Islamofacists were busy on the Iraqi front, then our risk would be much diminished, not still high. It has nothing to do with the terrorists pre-occupation in Iraq. It has to do with timing on their part.
Attacks on our troops during a time of war are hardly unexpected so your reasoning is flawed yet again. What you SHOULD be counting and remembering are the daily attacks on American and British planes in the no-fly zone for what...3 years? More maybe. And let's see just who WAS the POTUS during those years??....Why, I seem to recall it was BJ Clintoon himself. Filanderer in Chief.
If the Islamofacists were busy on the Iraqi front, then our risk would be much diminished, not still high.
Unfortunatley all the Islamofascists aren't in Iraq. But a whole $hitload are and we are making hamburger out of many of them whether you want to admit it or not.
