What evidence/argument do you have that the destruction of Al Qaeda in Iraq would precipitate the destruction of Al Qaeda around the world, much less the destruction of the dozens of other jihadist organizations dedicated to the elimination of the US and western civilization in general?

You state a conclusion based on what appears to be a shakey premise.
