Many Americans have no concept of what losing in Iraq will mean to our own comfy lives here in this nation. We must win or face miserable changes and deadly consequences.
Exactly. Many defeatist believe that if we leave Iraq it will be just a civil war where Iraqis will be killing each other, they cannot be possibly more wrong. The consequences of us leaving Iraq before complete victory will be the worst disaster that will inflict our nation and the whole world.

Ok, please define what you mean by "losing." Do you mean military defeat where there is a US surrender and all of our military lay down their weapons? or do you mean the sort of losing that took place in Viet Nam? or something else?

based on the answer above, please expand on the scenario that you see happening as a result.
Exactly!
A well-put post.
I don't think we can actually win this thing "in Iraq" because the enemy we are fighting is Iran and the danger that must be dealt with before we have any sort of "win" is Iran's nuclear ambitions and hegemonic ambitions. So long as we are fighting in Iraq and not dealing directly with Iran all we are doing is giving the Iranians experience and weapons/tactics development opportunities. The ultimate winning of this war will be the ending of the current pan-Islamic Jihad- the drive for final conversion of the world. That requires the total defeat of Iran and probably its dismemberment as well as total defeat of the Jihad wherever it is still active- Philipines, Thailand, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and ultimately Arabia. The Wahhabi sect needs to be eradicated.
Faith, because the democrats were afraid to defend us against treasoness acts such as those done by Fonda, J. Kerry, ellsberg and a multitude of others of that era, we are, now, not able to convict anyone today for leaking classifoed information, which is detromental to our troops, to the NY Times and their ilk.
Yes, you are right, if we back out of this war, we will pay the same consequence as the Vietnamese and Cambodians did when killer kennedy and his cohorts pulled finances from VeitNam.
I shudder when I think of the level of arrogance and weakness our country voted into place this last election.

Yep, and I'm afraid "we're going down" (in time) because we're not really fighting the real war against Islam, which is the *idealogy* that promotes all this Islamic terrorism. What our President in inclined to do ("Islam is a peaceful religion; we have a war on terror) -- is the equivalent to having a "war on guns" so we can put the criminals out of business.
