After the conviction of the two agents for shooting a smuggler in the rear and the US government's grant of immunity to the smuggler to testify against the agents, few agents will be willing to use their firearms. Increasingly, I think few agents will be willing to risk themselves to enforce laws that the Administration clearly doesn't want enforced.
