Some Poker Sites Have Restricted All NETELLER Transactions, Not Just InstaCash Some poker sites have limited or completely restricted NETELLER transactions following the detainment of two former NETELLER executives by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Since the incident, NETELLER has banned the use of its InstaCash feature for U.S. residents, but continues to allow users to fund sites with money that already resides in their NETELLER accounts.
Poker sites had mixed responses to NETELLERs move. PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, for instance, followed the NETELLER ban exactly and now prevent users from funding their accounts using InstaCash. Bodog, on the other hand, took a more drastic stance and disallowed players from using NETELLER at all, even with funds currently in their NETELLER accounts.
Trading of the NETELLER stock was suspended following news that the two NETELLER co-founders, John Lefebvre and Steve Lawrence, were arrested while traveling in the U.S. The two founders have not had an official role in the company, aside from being the top shareholders, since before their detainment.

It sounds like you will have to send the sites a check and wait for it to clear.
More reason that the R's lost--the idiot party returns!!!
The land of the free, my ass.
I don't think U.S. banks can cooperate legally in sending $$$ outside the country to gambling casinos.
I've thought about opening an account in a banking institution OUTSIDE the U.S. and write checks on that bank, to fund my account in a poker-game casino, but I haven't done it yet.

Lots of luck there....I don't know of any bank outside of the US that will allow you to open an account without actually visiting the country of origin. (I would suggest Barclays in the Cayman Islands).
The fact that Republicans supported this nanny-state nonsense wholeheartedly makes me ill. Even worse is that where I live in Washington State, the state legislature made online poker a Class C Felony. This used to be a free country.
The government tries to make things illegal that it is already doing.
Yup...wouldn't want you to cut into those lottery revenues right?
Also, always keep your head when gambling.

Mail them a Money order maybe? I was using neteller also. I'm actually waiting for a $700 check from them right now. I hope this doesn't slow that down.
I don't think the banks will clear it per the new law.
My buddy recieved an email. He has 1k with them. He is a law abiding father of two whose only vice is that he like to play $2/$4 texas holdem on friday nights. He will probably not get this money. This is disgusting.
Is that in an account actually with Neteller or with a gaming site?
Depending on the site, he can still use existing funds on deposit to play with.
