I my self am not a fan of the confederacy with the exception of general lee (Last few shreds of yankee in me I suppose) but the governor did speak of tolerance and that includes tolerance of unpopular viewpoints not just race or sex so I see nothing hypocritical of the governors stance.

He came out waving an American flag and wearing a ripped confederate flag shirt -- with a stars-and-stripes guitar, a 50-millimeter machine gun onstage, as well as a skull with an American Indian headdress.

I have to wonder why they focused only on the shirt. Seems to me Nugent is an equal opportunity offender.
