The secret for which Sandy risked his all .... (remove documents from Mr. Clarke's files)
WND ^ | January 18, 2007

If not the most skillful of embezzlers, Samuel "Sandy" Berger is a far more formidable character than the media would have us believe. When he made his now-storied sorties into the National Archives, he risked his career and his reputation in so doing, and he knew it. Rest assured, he would not have done so were the secrets to be preserved not worth the risk of pilfering them.

True to form, the major media refuse to even ask the most fundamental question: Just what secrets would justify so much personal exposure? Having read the report on Berger by the House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform, I am more confident than ever that I know the answer.

The House report makes clear, Berger did not exactly welcome this assignment. This confirms my suspicions. The archivists told the committee, in fact, that Berger "indicated some disgust with the burden and responsibility of conducting the document review." ...............................

Understandably, the 9/11 Commission was very concerned about who knew what when in regards to the use of planes as bombs. Bush National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice was asked on her first real question: "Did you ever see or hear from the FBI, from the CIA, from any other intelligence agency, any memos or discussions or anything else between the time you got into office and 9-11 that talked about using planes as bombs?"

Rice said no. She was likely telling the truth. Clarke had acknowledged as much during his earlier testimony. He admitted that the "knowledge about al-Qaida having thought of using aircraft as weapons" was relatively old, "5 years, 6 years old." He asked that intelligence analysts "be forgiven for not thinking about it given the fact that they hadn't seen a lot in the five or six years intervening about it."

Let's add two more observations to the list:

- Bill's blowup at Chris Wallace for asking a question about whether Clinton felt any responsibility for 9/11;

- Hillary's "We're not going to take any crap from you people" response of the next day.

Rather thin-skinned on the subject, wouldn't you say?

Clinton made him out to be a bumbler.

I read Clinton et al's calling Berger "sloppy" that others had removed documents without being caught. A bumbler gets caught, others don't even get noticed.

Why is Sandy Burger walking around?

Why is Sandy Burger walking around and able to call ABC to complain about how he is being portrayed in "Path to 9/11?"

Why will Sandy Burger have high level security clearance within three years?

While I have long believed that flight 800 was blown up somehow, it never occurred to me that it was being used as a missile and Clintoon would have known that. Wow.

Two items from Berger's Wikipedia biography:

Opposed to the Vietnam War, Berger began working for Senator George McGovern's presidential campaign in 1972. While there, he met Bill Clinton, forming a friendship that would last for decades. Berger later urged Clinton to run for president.[2]

"Sandy Berger," Nancy Pelosi said in 1997 prior to becoming Speaker of the House, "was the point person at... Hogan & Hartson... for the trade office of the Chinese government. He was a lawyer-lobbyist."[4]

Odd how the MSM misses big questions when it comes to exposing fellow democrats... Are they really willing to lose their credibility and jobs in order to protect every democrat? Seems that way ...

'fraid you're right about that. The Republicans are too cowardly to face any of this down;
We need a new GOP the old one has lost it's way.

Sandy was too casual for it to be his first time. The "first" of any crime or betrayal carries fear and trepidation.

Sandy showed neither.

A man kissing a woman other than his wife the first time feels more fear than the 5th time he's totally unfaithful to the same woman.

Incremental degradation of the soul.

Do wrong long enough and questions of right and wrong wash to gray.

After an initial compromise, crime gets easier. Sandy lacked fear, lacked trepidation, lack the basic "first time" feel. Sandy's not a virgin. Wasn't careful. Doesn't add up.

Dots.

Sandy's either waaaaaay down the road, or he's a sociopath. And I don't believe he's a sociopath. IMHO it was relatively BIG and it wasn't his first time.

Many dots to connect.

He took one for the team and I'd bet my bippy that the "co-President" at the time is aware of the details. And she should be dogged incessantly along the campaign trail if she tries to go prime time.

No video, but .. when on the morning of 9/11 horrible events started, Katie Couric actually said "the TWA Flight 800 bombing."
