Thankyou for keeping us up to date. I read another article from North County Times by Teri Figueroa on Thomas today. Very touching and sad. Seems like NCIS is continuing to use the plea deal to their advantage.
Do you know if these men or the Haditha group have tried to get pro bono lawyers? The Pentagon official, Stimson, made a big deal about big law firms who are representing Gitmo detainees. Wouldn't it look good for these law firms' profiles if they not only represented detainees, but also American servicemen?

No, It wont, one stipulation in these pleas is that they admit to it all, and then NEVER recant their statements.
There is so much going on here, the abuse of these Marines, the corruption in the JAG Corps....
How in PRIVATE, these Mariens all swear they are innocent to the charges.
The defense for these Marines must be marginal at best, or there are private agreements for them to take the rape. Don't know how else to figure it. Had to be at work 5AM. A bit shot. So it is sack time. Have a great upcoming day.
So even with Magincalda's own trial, his lawyers can't get the deception to come out that is aimed at him because of the pleas that the others made beforehand? The pleas should be kept private and sealed until trials are completed.
The one defendant who doesn't seem to have a civilian lawyer is Sgt. Dela Cruz. Given his statements to the NCIS weasels, that makes sense.
The lawyers onboard at this point are taking the case for reduced rates but are not pro bono. Each defendent will easily need to raise a couple hundred grand just to have an adequate defense.
Guess the Gitmo lawyers are revealed to be terrorist-sympathizing, Leftist weenies we suspected that they were.

I agree, it's not a great situation for this Marine, but I do hope he will be an inspiration for others not to FLIP in the Haditha hearings.

Can you imagine what it must feel like to be making a carreer helping the enemy? Knowing that every dollar you spend came from them? I'd probably commit suicide first.
