You bet! I am a Roman Catholic, and we are trained in the mystery of faith. St. Christopher never faltered, never wavered, even in his darkest moments, even when he thought that he would surely die. It is the greatest story of faith that I have ever heard.
Vatican II may have kicked him out, but the true believers keep him as close as ever. St. Christopher is the patron saint of carriers (that's why you still see dashboard statues!), and since our American troops have carried the battle to our enemies in Iraq and Afghanistan, I'd say he's looking out for them too. Take care and God bless you and yours.
p.s. Handy gift tip: If you are ever stuck for an appropriate gift, just buy a St. Christopher medal and give it to the receipient along with his story. Spend the time and tell the story. I've got two dozen and I remember every single telling of the story and the dear souls who took the time for me. You don't have to be a Catholic, it is the story of an ordinary man who had only one moment of greatness. Like most of us!
