I tuned in for that show, having heard that Steyn was going to be the guest host from a thread here. It was absolutely fabulous, and the three hours just flew by!

I wish Steyn had his own show, or maybe a regular appearance on one of the national shows every week.

God, I am so glad that you agree. I've spoken with a lot of people about the quality, skills, and especially the personalities of our talkshow hosts. It is a very important subject. May I write you about this sometime in a much more detailed manner? I must go out in the snow and trim some ornamental grasses.

But something must change with Rush and Hannity especially. The constant ridicule to which they resort, and their overbearing self-righteouness and sanctimony only serves to energize the "opposition". That is the last thing that we need.

Hannity has a radio commercial that runs periodically during the day here in Pittsburgh: “........... I know I’m right ...................stay on the high ground , keep the personal out of it.” — (BARF)

Sean never stops calling names, nearly always makes it personal, and ridicules callers and continually takes the low road, and, generally he is incapable of a proper interview.

Mark Steyn is the best commentator of our time. He's articulate, intelligent and of good humor. He's not enamored of the sound of his own voice and actually thinks before he speaks or takes a position.

For the most part the rest of the loudmouths have low intellect and it shows!

There's more than a whiff of elitism and bigotry from the so called elite talkshow hosts.
