"I have blocked the weather channel since it has gone political. You cnnot depend on their forecasts"

If their politics were okay, would that make their forecasts dependable? Why would you watch an undependable weather channel no matter what the politics? Maybe we should wait for the advent of sociometeorology.

I read the comment to be a direct correlation (and probable assertion of causation) between TWC's political turn and the decline of their forecast accuracy. if they had strange politics, but dependable forecasts, at least one could depend on their forecasts (even if their reasoning behind them were off).
