You either believe in the rule of law, or you don't.
If you don't, you are no different than Bill Clinton.
If the law does not allow for an exception, it means THERE IS NO EXCEPTION.
How many of you are willing to be hypocrites to defend a couple of law-breaking agents?
Talk is cheap.
Say speaking of cheap, you still using those illegals on your projects?
Here is some cheap talk for you::::::: WHY DOES NO ONE ENFORCE IMMIGRATION LAWS???????? aren't those rules of law??????? WHY DO THOSE LAWS NOT MATTER? WHEN YOU FREAKIN FOLLOW THOSE LAWS, THEN YOU CAN PANDER TO AN ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT DRUG SMUGGLER WHO WAS SHOT IN THE BUTT. If the freakin immigration laws were enforced this would have been much less likely to happen. WHY DOESN'T THAT LAW MATTER TO ANYONE? I don't freakin care if the guy got shot in the butt, WHY DID US OFFICIALS GO FIND HIM TO FIND CHARGES AND GIVE IMMUNITY TO A FREAKIN DRUG SMUGGLER? If 80% or more of politicians did not pander and coddle illegal immigrants, this may not have happened. And now he is suing and will end up a multimillionaire.
Does that apply to the government or are they above such things?
For decades the federal government has failed to enforce the laws against illegals.
If only Bush and the rest of the federal government would so vigorously enforce laws against illegals and enforcing the border as they were in persecuting these two agents.
Their mistake was of course picking up their shells and not reporting the shooting, but come on. That drug smuggler was given FULL immunity from his crimes (and has since smuggled pot into the USA again at least once) and free medical care in the US. This is not right and is a perfect case for a presidential pardon.
Oh get off your dumb soapbox already and get a grip.
"Rule of law" to Alberto Gonzales means:
1. 12 years in prison for shooting a drug smuggler in the ass, and lying about it
2. 100 hours community service for Sandy Berger for stealing and destroying top secret government documents pertaining to acts of war, and lying about it.
You understand our f**king anger now?
I think it's pretty hypocritical for this administration to expect BP to obey the law when this administration so blatantly ignores the immigration laws we have.
The bigger picture is that it sends a chill down all border patrol agents as they perform their job. Knowing Bush's illegal alien stance, he's no friend of the border agents and wants them just where they are.
Even the phrase "rule of law" get ME pukin! How many illegals need to be rounded up and given either jail or a one-way ticket to somewhere? This illegal alien issue is such a mess, there is no black and white and this is not a perfect world.
