A Cranberry man who is charged with hiding his mother's body in a freezer so he could continue to collect her monthly retirement checks is going to trial.
At a preliminary hearing today for Philip Faxon Royer Jr., police officers recounted how the unemployed former teacher had stuffed the body of his 90-year-old mother into a cooler, then had frozen it in a basement freezer.
