Let me be the first to draw the ire of the group. Yes, the person who did this is a sickie and should be punished. But ambulances and national news stories?

I would prefer the resources, including public reaction, be devoted to human victims of crime. Many news organizations consider covering all the local crimes to be beneath them, leaving murders seriously underreported. This is all part of an incredible overemphasis on the importance of animals.

It is my understanding that people who start abusing animals eventually move on to humans.

The humane society runs ambulance services for animals in some locales

This is all part of an incredible overemphasis on the importance of animals. No, animal cruelty needs to be dealt with,next time it could be a child
