INTRODUCTION OF THE VALERIE PLAME WILSON COMPENSATION ACT -- (Extensions of Remarks - January 16, 2007)
---SPEECH OF HON. JAY INSLEE
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?r110:1:./temp/~r110nN89XF::
Despite Mrs. Plame Wilson's 20 years of federal service, she does not meet the minimum age requirement to receive her retirement annuity. She has been left without a career.
I am introducing legislation to allow Mrs. Plame Wilson to qualify for her annuity, as one who has served her country for two decades, and waive the age requirement for collecting it.
---
Hope that helps

"She has been left without a career." Well, BOO HOO. Her star-studded career as a magazine model has fallen through?
She needs to get a job, not expect to live off the taxpayers her entire life.

Just one word..............
NO !
Valerie "deserves" NOTHING and especially NO special treatment!
To: thackney
Don't she and her husband Joe have a lot to do with the fact that she's unemployed? Or are we going to blame that on the White House, too?
To: thackney
This is complete and utter BS... I suppose our 80 or so RINO's will vote with the dems for this???

I'M waiting For Mrs. Clintoon to introduce a similar bill for the WH travel office staff who had their careers ended abruptly.

Interesting that after Col North testified before Congress they attempted to pull his pension.
As a matter of fact John Kerry voted to have his pension revoked.

That explains it.
I hope some smart Republican comes up with an alternative bill, something along the lines of recalculating her "time served" and getting it below the required minimum to qualify for a pension at all. I bet there's an appropriate 'Joe Wilson' bill that somebody could come up with as well.

Apparently she was 42 yrs old in December 2005 when this was posted over at huffington and says she was quitting her job to become a full-time mom.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2005/11/29/valerie-plame-to-quit-her_n_11384.html
She was not forced to quit, she did it voluntarily. What she's looking for is to be paid her pension for an extra 13 years before she's qualified to receive it. She knew when she quit she wasn't eligible unless she's absolutely stupid.
Don't forget when her lying spouse retired he had to take a reduced pension because he retired early.
Lets see, by those calculations perhaps I'll be allowed to draw SS on my 52nd birthday instead of waiting till I'm 65.
I'd really like to know just who these lying Wilson weasels think they are that puts them way above anyone else and deserves them special privileges.
