OK, I follow you point but unless you have been living under a rock it is the Media that castrated Bush. You cannot fight the media when it sides with your political adversaries. Yes Bush could make stronger decisions but it reminds me of how stupid people are that applaud Clinton when he with waggy finger on Fox news told America that he tried but failed to get UBL... Tried but failed which caused 911. At least GWB tried and succeeded in stopping Saddam Hussein from threatening America.... The Iraq war is a success story of dramatic proportion if you happen to believe that Saddam emboldened by UBL success on 911 would have eventually sponsored suicide missions in the U.S. which would have killed tens of thousands of US citizens.... with that thought process the whole Iraq issue is moot.

Newt Gingrich is beginning to sound a lot like Churchill.

Mark Steyn is our Churchill. He can lead our country anytime, but I don't think he is a U.S. Citizen.

When that happens with 50k or more dead American Civilians all I can say is George W. Bush will be vindicated. So how do the Rats stake their political future against this inevitable reality? That is the question.

The dems will blame Bush for having "created" these terrorists and double down on attempting to appease them. They will also suppress Christianity in the US and promote Islam in an effort to appease our enemies.

I will make a prediction of my own: If the toll exceeds, say, 100,000, we will see something akin to civil war in this country. If the southern border and lax immigration enforcement are involved in any way, the institutions and interests that advocated those lax policies will literally go up in flames.

Depending on how much power the authorities have left, and their willingness to use it, anyone who opposed measures that could have prevented the disaster could well end up in the rough and ready court of vigilante justice. This includes, but is not limited to, the PC media culture, the "peace" movement, and left-wing academia. There should have been some hangings after these forces wilfully instigated the Cambodian genocide and the green gulag in the 1970s. They can't get away with it twice, especially not if it happens here.

If (when) we get hit again, our southern border will likely have little if anything to do with it.

Determined terrorists trying to do mass damage to an essentially open and free country could get in regardless of what we do at our southern border.

If you are going to win, you have to bring the fight to them where they are.

If the Dems get in the White House, there won't even be a creek, let alone a paddle. Scary, isn't it?

It would not suprise me that if there is another attack, we will see an angry backlash so huge that there will be nothing, nothing at all which will mean a violent one at that can be stopped.

all I can say is George W. Bush will be vindicated.

Of course, but who will step forward to take responsibility for ease with which these foreign invaders, the enemies of the American people, arrived on our soil.

All the airport screening in the world for our citizens is pointless when those whom we are told will attack us get a free pass and safe passage across our borders.

The most fundamental error was deciding to fight a war against "terror". That is like trying to fight a war against war.

We can't even name the enemy that causes this "terror". If we can't truthfully identify the enemy we have little chance of winning a war against it.

One also has to recognize that Islam is more than a religion. It is a political ideology like Nazism. Until we can bring ourselves to say that this ideology is incompatible with free people and must be stopped it will continue. We pretend that it is limited to only the bad fruit on the Islamic tree. But the truth is, it is the tree itself that is toxic. And as long as the tree is left to grow in the name of religious freedom, it will continue to produce the same fruit of death and destruction that it has for centuries.

I think there are strong reasons to control our borders.

Economically it is killing us not to mention all the crime and other negative affects on our communities.

I just don't think terrorism is an honest reason. Our terrorism efforts have to be directed at more affective methods with our limited resources. In other words, trying to stop terrorism by sealing up America will fail. It can't be done. There are too many ways to sneak that one nuke into a major city undetected. And if you can detect it, it will already be too late.
