Nothing will happen.

It will be business as usual with Bush. People in Washington do not care at all. There might be a little grumbling from him, but nothing will happen overall.

BZZTTT WRONG! We'll get a PATRIOT Act III and IV before we get secure borders.

Bush and his ilk are in love with the idea of having a version of the European Union covering North America. The transportation infrastructure has already been started in Texas, and will soon be expanding in Mexico and Oklahoma and Kansas (they will be in for a rude shock when they get the bill and find out how much land will be taken from them, although some in Kansas have already realized what is going on).

I'll bet the Mexicans will defend America after they take it.
The OTM's won't be welcome.
They can just ship us back to the socialist nations of our origin.
