CNN REPORTER BOB FRANKEN is being discussed now. I found a report that he has not been following the CNN party line against the war. But, maybe that has changed now?

I have seen this talking head on CNN but I don't know much about him.

The irony is that strictly speaking, it's true. "If it bleeds, it leads" has been a truism in journalism forever, going back to William Randolph Hearst. (I was a journalism major, I know these things.)

And the flip side of this is that the marketplace backs that up. People are more likely to buy newspapers and magazines with horrific headlines (and photos) than shiny, happy articles with shiny, happy people. Until people in general prefer to dwell on the good side of life, rather than the dark side of life, it will always be true.

I just think it's a little insulting to state it so bluntly and unapologetically to a grieving family.

I'm glad Savage has been playing clips and adding his commentary on 24 because I did my homework and watched it so now I know exactly what he's talking about.
