also, child support is not counted when looking at their income. A woman could be getting thousands a month in child support, but working part time for low pay, and get everything handed to her by the government. All she has to pay for is her car.
Nah, child support will cover that.
That about sums it up. Look closer and you'll see that the job (or one of the jobs) is probably "under the table" so as to preserve as much taxpayer-funded benefit as possible. Not sure about the "thousands a month" in child support, though. I know a few childless women that enjoy all the other benefits, and still have the money to take lavish vacations a couple of times a year.
