"51% of Women Are Now Living Without Spouse"

And they're still not happy!

This will be picked up and rebroadcast by all the media. Problem is that it is a contrived number. They had to include 15 year olds to get the number where they want it. (Few 15 year olds are married.) Also, it includes widows (most women over 75 or so are widowed)

"In a relatively small number of cases, the living arrangement is temporary, because the husbands are working out of town, are in the military or are institutionalized. "

So..it must have been about 70% living without a spouse in WWII? So what actually is the trend?

Not to be crude, but as the old saying goes "Why buy the cow when they're giving the milk away for free."

This is an unfortunate turn of events for our culture.

Reading this made me think of something I saw while reading a Redbook magazine yesterday (I get a free subscription)..

The RedBOOK Club.
Editor's choice:
Emily Ross is married to her college sweetheart Kevin. He's reliable, dependable, steady-- in other words, boring. And his constant push for kids makes Emily want to run.
As she wrestles with relationship doubts and motherhood fears, Emily meets a handsome stranger who makes her feel things she's never felt for her husband....

This is what they want women to read.. pathetic huh?

From now on i'll only be looking at the recipes and then tossing it.

51% of Women Are Now Living Without Spouse
By the same token, wouldn't 51% of men also be living without spouse?
