Bitter Bierce; neverforget1

Bierce, I didn't catch that. Ah, yes, e e cummings, Master of the Language. "Ma" bad," as ebony might be prone to say. See, she's got an edjumacation, and I was dimwitted enough to miss that.

My sweet, dear, neverforget, you'll just have to "wing it," as ebony appears to have done. Were it me, if I truly believed that a grievous, egregious wrong had been done to me or mine, I would suggest the Bible or, dare I say it, my Rosary. After what we went through and the aftermath of our tragedy, I -- as a convert -- have never learned to meditate on the "Mysteries" faster or longer, but what the heck? Those are just the tools of the white man to justify his bad behavior.

Saw a show on EWTN last night about St. Vincent de Paul -- WOW did that hit home. Poor guy lived to 84 years of age, by the Grace of God alone. Doubt if he knew if he was "afoot or on horseback" (sorry, that's an old hillbilly expression) for most of his life. He just kept keepin' on, keepin' on. Now, that might be something to meditate on -- but no, on second thought, another tool of the racists, I'm sure.
