New Developments in Duke LAX Case
WTVD Eyewitness News
(01/16/07 -- DURHAM) - The state Attorney General's Office now has boxes of evidence in the Duke Lacrosse case. The FBI escorted the boxes into the downtown offices Tuesday evening.
The boxes contain thousands of pages of documents and evidence in the case. They include investigator notes, witness statements, pictures and videotapes.
We know at least one tape features the accuser during the photo line up that's now in question. This is the first step for the new prosecutors who have to decide whether to go forward with this case.
It's not clear how long it will take officials to sift through the boxes and re-interview witness.
Attorney General Roy Cooper has released this statement saying, "Our attorneys will immediately begin examining this material. These files contain a substantial amount of information, and we will work carefully to ensure a full and fair review." The State Bar Council handling Durham District Attorney Mike Nifong's ethics complaint will be meeting on Thursday. But there's no official word whether Nifong is on the agenda. -cut-

Interesting that agents of that unintereted FBI excorted the documents there?
I'm wondering if they really didn't mean the SBI, rather than the FBI.
"The FBI escorted the boxes into the downtown offices Tuesday evening."
Odd. Surely the AG's office has staff to do this.
My question is, did they or will they get it all? I hope the defense looks into this. Discovery should start all over again.
