Fox news out and out lied about this bridge situation. It's true that it was buried in the transporation bill, and it probably shouldn't have. It's also true that the bridge would benefit the casinos on the Nevada side. HOWEVER, Fox news made it sound like it was an unnecessary bridge to nowhere, only benefitting Mr. Reid. and that's an out and out lie. This is a very conservative area, and I hope Hannity at least mentions that there were some mistakes in reporting. There's enough truth about Reid's corruption. They don't have to make things up.

Anything that benefits Nevada, or the casinos, will likely result in benefiting Harry Reid. Why would that be a lie by Fox News?

Is this a question of federal funds going to this project, or not?

Let them raise the money for their own bridge. As a taxpayer I see NO REASON to pay for it federally. Its not like that bridge is an absolute necessity like the 600+ ones here in the 'Burgh are.
'Specially since it'll help Reid in any way.
"That accusation has officials on both sides of the river worried that such publicity could impede efforts to get more federal and state funding to build the bridge"
BRAVO TO SEAN HANNITY!!!!
BTW.....Pelosi's Del Monte deal is being "impeded", too.

You are wrong Pal, and Hannity is write. You are wasting the taxpayers money on your own little personal projects. Sorry the rest of us view your project as Pork! Foxnews is correct on this issue.

How many bridges does Bullhead City need?
Me thinkest thou protesteth too much. Maybe ya'all should be screaming to have your taxes reduced so that you will have the extra funds to pay for the bridge yourself. Or maybe you can ask those that will benefit from having the extra bridge pay for it out of their own pocket. Nothing personal but I know that as an Arizona resident I will never use it. Spent a weekend in that God forsaken community years ago and swore that I'd never go back. It's hot, dusty and a tourist trap. I hate to sound redundant but hey... make the Casinos pay for it. Nevada Residents don't pay any state income taxes. Put a 1/2¢ sales tax on their groceries until the bridge is paid for and those of you in Bullhead City can also implement the same tax on your citizens. Leave my money alone.
Just a thought.

If it is so wonderful why pay with federal dollars?
Why bury it in the bottom of a must pass bill?

That accusation has officials on both sides of the river worried that such publicity could impede efforts to get more federal and state funding to build the bridge. And there is the issue in a nutshell. Regardless of what FNC or anybody else says, these people really start to sweat when the $$$$ is threatened.
To: Hildy
He has a vested interest in having a bridge anywhere, more so if the location is near his property.
It's probably coincidental, since the 160 acres in bullhead City has been in the Reid family for years.
It still makes you go HMMMMM!
he probably should just recuse himself from further any legislation re: the bridge.
To: Hildy
Fox news out and out lied about this bridge situation. No,,,,It was Hannity.....
He is always over the top on a lot of issues, and FOX is not responsible for his flawed analysis, any more than CNN. This is how Hannity gets his audience.
Let Hannity explain himself.

You are way off. Nevada makes a killing financially off of gambling. They don't need a nickel of federal tax money for any projects that will aid in more gambling. You not accepting that doesn't make it a lie.
