Do you not realize Duncan Hunter is also in the race? And, frankly, he comes off a lot better than Tancredo. He has been on top of the border issue just as much as Tancredo but doesn't say the stupid stuff. And he's also a vet and strong on national defense. Tancredo is only splitting the vote. He is not stronger than Hunter and I'm sorry that he's running.

Hunter is now in the race and that is good but when did he announce precisely? And not to quibble but if we are to focus on "stupid" remarks by candidates, it is a wonder to me that Bush got elected...What matters to me is that the debate get framed correctly for the primaries and Tancredo will force that.
Framing this debate around "Common Sense" solutions to our issues is a brilliant strategy IMO, and has a great deal of appeal in the debate.
The general public (even Democratic voters for the most part) feel they have common sense and if the issues are framed that way we have a chance of keeping the back-room boys from putting McCain and company forward.
Republican or not I will not vote for him, primary or general election.
Someone with good sense recently said, If you can't fix the problem, make it worse so you get help fixing it.
If we are to be continually stuck with RINO leadership, I'd rather opt for the other side so it becomes clear just how bad they are. I am fully aware of the risk inherent in this logic but feel it is not much different from the frog slowly boiling in the water or alternatively jumping into the fire. One path is certain death, the other at least has the possibility of escaping with burns. Sorry for the rant but I just saw Hagel on Fox and am in a really bad mood toward the RNC or anyone else that would support people like him or Snowe "for the sake of the party".
